problem #2

Nov 182018

Outback Limited 3.6L

  • CVT transmission
  • 12,000 miles

Screen went blank while on a day trip. Brought the car to the dealership where they attempted a software update which failed. Entire unit had to be replaced. Was told it was a "known" problem. It took SIX WEEKS for the replacement. In the meantime, I had no navigation, no radio, no Apple Play, no rear back up camera and in that period took a 1,000 road trip which had been previously planned.

infoentertainment screen went blank

This was the third time that the 8 inch infoentertainment screen went black/blank and when that happens you lose you accessories. Problem was corrected with a software update and resetting fuses.
