Outback Limited 3.6L

  • CVT transmission
  • 19,000 miles

While on two vacation the eye site system failed -- dashboard lights lit up like a Christmas including check engine light. Looked in manual and online for a fix. Open and re-closed the gas cap. Did not fix problem. Without eye site system multiple safety features do not work -- safety features quite frankly I paid a lot of money for front crash avoidance, lane wandering, adaptive cruise control -- in fact cannot activate the non-adaptive cruise control either - and other features. Next option is to take it to the dealership -- had planned to take a day out of our vacation to do that but dealership couldn't arrange a loaner in advance because of all their loaners were out on a safety recall (??!) So we will drive home without cruise control and without safety features that we paid for and take the vehicle to our home Subaru dealership.

I am less than impressed with this vehicle having owned it now for less than one and a half years! This is not the experience I expected when I decided to purchase a Subaru. I have had more issues with this car -- and the expensive car ( have owned - than any car I have owned.
