Outback XT

Radio and map freeze. Needs a radio update that is of course not covered under warranty and to get the system to stop freezing or actually working as it should its 145.00 for the dealership to fix.

Outback Limited 4 cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 31,155 miles

I have had the car in for the same problem 9 times between 9/3/2020 (mileage 4492) and 5/25/2022 (mileage 31,155). Periodically, the infotainment screen goes blank or periodically, the radio fails. The Eyesight and RAB both fail when the screen goes blank. Each time I bring it in, the service advisor tells me that it is a software update issue. Each time the software update fails to address the problem.

All I want is for the car to be reliable.
