Instrument panel displays the word "OFF" under a car within a lane on the upper 1/3 of the center of the instrument panel. This happens multiple times in a 35 mile trip to Billings, MT from Edgar, MT (home). The "OFF" symbol with a car on and off for 1-2 seconds. Complained to dealer Rimrock Subaru Service Dept in Billings, MT in July 19-21, 2021, when they had my car because of a battery failure. Service depart did not have the car ready. I wrote the service manager the next day, but addressed it to the former manager. Aug 17, 2021 met with new Service manager, for he called a week prior. Another diagnosis was performed, and the manager said service could not do anything, for they could not find a code for the problem. So they did nothing.
Complained to Subaru of America with 4 phone calls over a month's time after I met with Rimrock Subaru, before Andre Clark called back and addressed the problem (on Oct 6, 2021). Said to call him when I go to Subaru again next. The next day (Oct 7, 2021), Conrad, from Rimrock Subaru Used Car of Billings, MT called and asked if I liked my Subaru. I said no no no. I met with him the next week Oct 15, 2021 when I went to town along with others who convened on us. I told them the problem, but to the Sales people. One sales person (Trey) said he believed it was a setting on the Subaru which if the EyeSite cameras do not get 100% visual from the sensor displays a temporary failure.
He changed the settings, but a week later some kind of warning sound went off with a "Bing" as prior, as the warning lights flashed on the windshield while driving to Billings, MT from Edgar, MT; to change my bank account because I was scammed. This error on my instrument panel happened for about 1-2 seconds, but I had to be quick to see if a symbol shown on the Instrument panel, but something seemed to go blank on the upper 1/3 of the center of the instrument panel different from prior for the settings were changed.
