Outback

  • Automatic transmission
  • 500 miles

The Suburu drives beautifully. The steering is great. The acceleration is great.

The software sucks.

There are great features, like the Auto Vehicle Hold (AVH), which I have to select every time I start the car. I cannot set up to have it default to on. There are features I hate, like the Auto Stop Start, which I have to turn off every time I start the car because some idiot defaulted it to on.

The software should be rewritten to allow a customer to set default starting features.

The flat screen panel controls all functions. When it glitches (occasionally) , blacks, then resets, all parameters (as in navigation and other selections) have to be reset. Temperature control while in Nav move is not intuitive.
