problem #1

Mar 302024

Outback Limited 2.5L

  • CVT transmission
  • 1,600 miles

battery bad after 1,600 miles, eye site errors/hard start

Intermittent starting of the car was hesitant and the eye site would come up on dash with line through it, meaning not working or connected. Took car in with 1,600 miles. could not find error codes and assumed the problem was from a bad battery. Replaced battery on 3/30/24. Fast forward to 4/27/24. Started my car in the morning and car seemed to hesitate starting and warning about eye site came on again like before the battery was changed. Here we go again!

I am not a mechanic, but obviously there is an issue with the battery draining in this car and electrical problems. Reading in the complaint form, there has been even a class action suit for this very problem on 2015-2020 Subaru Outbacks. I don't think that Subaru has fixed the problem. I am beyond frustrated and mad at this point that I traded in my Honda CRV for an Subaru Outback!!

If this problem continues, I do not want this car anymore and should get my money back. Anyone else having this problem?
