Love the car except the infotainment system. If you use the Android Audio Map, the system defaults to the android phone for both the map and SiriusXM. First, I do not like the Android SiriusXM app, and second, I am receiving the radio from the mobile connection, not directly from the satellite. In order to switch from the Android map to the Subaru SiriusXM, you need to push/hold the volume button, then select the music icon, then select SiriusXM. Often when I start the car, the music has defaulted to Android Auto radio (from my phone) so i need to select the SiriusXM button. When you first start the car, you can do this when stopped, but once you are driving you need to select several buttons to get to the car's SiriusXM. this can be distracting and dangerous. You should be able to switch between the Android auto map abd the car's SiriusXM in just one toggle.
When I am viewing the Android Map, there is several icons under the map, but they do not allow me to go directly to the car's SiriusXM. I can only select the Android phone app. I spoke to the dealer (who is great) and to Subaru Customer Care, After a number if inquiries, the finally discovered that the Infotainment works as designed. I was hoping that they would recognize the problem that commit to fix it in a future software update. But they apparently are not doing this.
If you use the car's built in map and SiriusXM, it works just fine. They just don't want to admit that those of us who use the Android Auto Map don't want to us the Android SiriusXM app. I hope that others see the same problem.
