problem #1

Oct 202024

WRX Limited Fa20dit

  • Manual transmission
  • 140,000 miles

I found the TSB for this a lot of aftermarket and even the factory are aware of the problem they did Issue a fix up until 2019 but the car is out of warranty they can't purchase an extended warranty also it's a factory problem that I should not have to fix I would understand if the car was salvaged or in a major wreck but it is a clean title I've had it for a year I got it with 123,000 MI and now it's got close to 144,000 miles you can look it up for the picture stop bracket tears off the firewall or brakes under acceleration even under stock horsepower I I contacted Subaru of America filed a claim with them I went to Mark Miller Subaru had them do an estimate through the Collision Center to fix this and an estimate to have the engine and transmission pulled it is a $2,000 fix severe does sell an improved one but no other place will touch it because you have to yank the motor out and the transmission then cut or grind out the old mounting brackets then you have to have it spot welded in repainted and the engine and transmission put back in it's a known common issue not only throughout 2015 to 2017 WRX but other models as well and I was told by Subaru of America that they will not cover it because it's over 100,000 miles
