This problem started around 20,000 miles, occasionally at first. My husband took it into the shop to be checked and they said there was nothing wrong with the vehicle, it's a hybrid and it's supposed to jerk when the motor switches from gas to battery. I continued to drive the car, and low and behold, it started getting worse, it would buck, and sputter, and slam into gear when I when from a complete stop to stepping on the gas to go again. We brought it into the dealer one more time to be told there was nothing wrong with it - the dealer is located 90 minutes away, and I am fed up being treated like I don't know anything.
I have done the research, and I received the letter about extending the transmission warranty, what I didn't realize is that I had to waste another day at the dealer arguing with them about the issue they never seem to feel, before July 31, 2018. Now its August 13, 2018, this piece of crap car that was over $32,000 has issues when I stop and start to go, when I am applying my brakes, and Subaru wants to play deaf. Shame on them! It's only a matter of time before someone is seriously injured or worse dies because of these faulty transmissions.
After owning 7 Subaru's in our lifetime, I will never buy another one. Their ignorant service department has caused that dealer to lose 2 customers that bought 3 brand new cars there. I am highly disappointed with Subaru's customer care, there isn't any. The way this car sporadically acts up scares the daylights out of my family.
