We bought the Suzuki new in 2005 thinking that with a standard transmission that things were unlikely to go wrong. About three years into owning it, The clutch stops working. My wife had the car and was able to limp it home. I had to have it towed about twenty miles to the nearest Suzuki dealership. I had purchased an extended warranty with the idea that a transmission would be covered. The clutch (slave cylinder) which to me is part of a transmission package was not covered. Yes I was very unhappy. At that time it cost about $600.00 to get it repaired. I thought (wrongly) that htere shouldn't be another problem with the vehicle. Shoot forward to now and low and behold the clutch goes out again. The problem was once again the clutch slave cylinder. The cost this time is about $1200.00. This was poorly engineered. Suzuki should take lessons from Ford, Honda, and Mazda all of which I owned and had standard transmissions and never an issue with them. Repair parts are also difficult to get. You must get them from only Suzuki at their inflated prices. workshop manuals are also nonexistant. Buy Suzuki at your own risk. I will not own another.
