I had received a safety recall on a fire hazard with the lightening after I kept smelling plastic burning every time it rained...I then noticed it was because I had the lights on all the time. I have called Suzuki to no avail to have a local procured to do recall repair due to the closet approved vendor being 2 hours away in traffic and the length of repair taking most of their day plus return trip. We would have to spend night in a hotel. My mechanic even called them and said they would do the repairs in chantilly, va. And Suzuki refused saying it would only take me 20 minutes to drive to wheaton md"??????" I am in bristow, va. I asked that they have the vehicle towed and fixed and brought back to me then and they refuse every suggestion. This is by far a huge inconvenience and wear and tear on my vehicle. It is their fire hazard, they should make every effort to provide for a local repair to the fire hazard.

I received recall notice in regards to the headlamp switch or daytime running light (drl) module which could melt the headlamp switch or the drl module. I took car to dealer and they replaced the signal switch. Now when I start the car the headlights flicker and when I release the parking brake the running lights come on but very dim to bright. I am concerned about the light flicker when starting car.

This is the 2nd recall on the drl module in 2 years. I have had to replace my battery terminals on the car. The headlights won't turn off unless I unhook the battery. The recall got started in May 2014, the recall was mailed out in July 2014 and the recall is being done while Suzuki does not have the parts. The car company will take for ever to get the parts. I called Suzuki and was told that if my car catches on fire it is not their concern. In the meantime I have no other way to work. I can not register the car, can not do the inspection, can not drive it. This is such a hardship for a lot of people. Suzuki says that they will put you through to their corporate office, but that is a big joke. Is it any wonder why they have not sold new vehicles in the us since 2012.I just want my car fixed and Suzuki will take care of all the electrical wrongs on my car. If enough people complain something will get done.

Head lights stay on running battery down. Called Suzuki regarding posted, May 2014 for day light running light issues and they haven't decided recall/repairs, that I would receive a letter if recall is issued. Constantly have to have assistance to jump the battery.

Headlamp just stopped working. I changed the relay then the fuse and also the light itself still not working I know there was a eall on the model of the year before, I can only assume that they used those parts for my car..

On 11/11/2013 my car was parked in my driveway and caught fire (electrical) this is one of the recalls on this vehicle, (certain passenger vehicles, headlamp low beam or daytime running light (drl) function may be inoperative due to a melted splice pack on the wiring harness). I have had these problems with my vehicle the headlamp low beam and the daytime running light, would not turn on or off.

After my daytime running lights stayed on all night, my battery died and I had to have the engine jumped. I went along with my day, parked my car at the bus lot and went to work. After returning to the car, I smelled smoke. When I tried to pop my hood, I noticed the interior paneling under my steering wheel was black and melted. The hood would not pop open because the release lever was also melted. There was smoke damage on my windshield near the air/defrost vents and on anything sitting in my car. Lucky for me, I was not in the car when the fire occurred and it was in a parking lot where no one was around to get injured. After having the transmission sensor replaced on the car 4 times before they replaced the entire transmission, I've realized there were electrical problems with this car long before the fire occurred. Many others have complained about a fire in this exactly make/model/year car. Suzuki should be ashamed for making such terrible cars and filing for bankruptcy right before the problem occurs so there is nothing to be done/no accountability.

Headlights won't turn off. While driving on the expressway black smoke blew in my face. Electrical wires were on fire. I was able to pull over and get out without getting hit by the fast cars going by. Called 911 the fire department came put out the fire.

Dash lights went out in car. Checked fuse and no bad fuse. Went to drive the car and then noticed had no break lights, head lights, and windows did not roll down. I had high beams if I wanted to drive it while holding the light switch for the high beams.had all fuses checked, and was then told it was in the wiring!!! car had been in the shop before for transmission range sensors. It seems to be one issue after another with this car all of a sudden. Tire pressure light come on for a few days then goes out for a few, and that is with new tires. Not very happy with this car at all..

My check engine light came on after I placed the car in reverse, it gave a big "thunk" sound. I turned the car off and restarted it. The check engine light is still on. When I went to the dealership to get a diagnosis and they said it was a transmission range sensor gone bad! $250 to replace. As you can see that there are a lot of customer complaints on the same issue but no recall. I have already had the brake light sensor replaced earlier this year and a power steering pump! not liking Suzuki right now!

The contact owns a 2007 Suzuki Forenza. The contact stated that the headlights would not shut off during the day or night, causing the lights to disable. Both the dealer and manufacturer denied any assistance with repairs of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 49,000 and the current mileage was 50,000.

I have had to repair so much on this car in such a short amount of time, I am going nuts...almost every month its something else! I have had blown head gaskets, replaced broken door handles (they broke again), chipping paint (for no reason), brake light switch system, now the transmission range sensor is bad. To replace the tires, the cheapest you can find is $130/tire new. I am out of thousands of dollars when the care was supposed to be under warranty and "americas best powertrain" but everything in the car that is going bad, isn't covered! my 2007 Suzuki Forenza sucks!

The head lights on my daughters 2007 Suzuki Forenza stop working then at one point work again then one side turn off then the other then turn signals will stop working on one side then the other then they are fine then the day time running lights stop and start working as described above this is something that has been recalled on the 2003 to 2006 and now this is happening on the 2007. Something should be done before there is a crash or fire.

A person driving behind our car (Suzuki-Forenza) pulled up next to us and stated we didn't have any back tail lights we also noticed on our dashboard the airbag light came on and wouldn't go off. We stopped and checked the fuses, bulbs and found both in good working order but we still had no tail lights. Attempted to head to an auto parts store to seek help(Sunday) and realized that the gear shift would not come out of park. Read the manual and had to utilize the release mech. Everytime we stopped the car and placed it in park. Also, some type of engine noise maybe fan belt continues and has to go back to the shop.

I have a 2007 Suzuki Forenza; it was new when I purchased it. However, I just had a strange instance last week in which the brake lights would not go out after I turned off the car. I had to drain the battery just to find out whether or not they would go out, which they did not. I ended up taking it to the dealership and they had to replace the battery and brake switch. This cost about $275 altogether, however I am not sure if this has happened with other Forenzas yet and wanted to report it, as brakelights being out someone could run into you if this happens. I have not had it happen again but if it does I will report it.
