Suzuki Forenza 2007, 42,000 miles. 1) transmission range sensor: Transmission slips when in drive -- panel shows a "D" with a slash through it. After researching, have found this to be extremely common among the most well-maintained Forenzas. Unacceptable. Engine light came on and as soon as I tried to go forward, the car would just decelerate down like 10 or 20 mph "scary" within a matter of seconds and no matter how much I pushed the pedal to accelerate to the floor but it was as if I didn't have power. 2)tire pressure light comes on every other day. 3)the front passenger air bag light comes on to show the air bag is not working even if I have a passenger seated properly in the front seat.

2007 Suzuki Forenza...air bag warning light stays on, had it fixed four times and its back on again. This is a very intriguing situation as well as very dangerous. My warranty is expired as of April 13, 2010....my dealership is eighty miles away from my house. Service contract was voided after original dealership energy country Suzuki folded and I had already purchased vehicle. They still have Suzuki experience but refuse to work my car and honor the service contract they offered with the vehicle. Energy country Ford, still exists and their mechanics are trained on Suzuki's and they promised me that they would continue to service my car but now they have welshed on the contract. My car needs serviced but I have to take it eighty miles into Louisiana. I live in Texas. And this is the only vehicle that I own. A royal screwing all the way around...

The front passenger air bag light comes on to show the air bag is not working even if I have a passenger seated properly in the front seat. It does not do this all the time but it happens enough to concern me and my wife. I had the same problem with a 2006 model year of the same car. We had other problems with that car as well and the dealer took it back and sold us the 2007 which has some of the same problems. This has been happening on and off since we got the car in March of 2007.

I have a Suzuki/Forenza 2007 and on Monday 02/01/2010 while on my way to work I was involved in a car accident while in the turnpike North. I was going at about 60 to 65 miles/hour and another driver lost control of his car because of the rain and I hit him at that speed. It was a head collision/ T bone like and even though the front end of the car was all crashed including the hard bumper the air bags on my car did deploy. I do believe that there is something wrong with this system in this car. Updated 02/26/10 the consumer stated the vehicle was declared a total loss. The engine was cracked. The main support frame that held the vehicle at the bottom was bent and the air bags did not deploy. Updated 04/29/10.

The contact owns a 2007 Suzuki Forenza wagon. The contact stated that the vehicle has a serious hesitation issue. While driving between 30-50 mph, the vehicle hesitates and decelerates. It does not lose complete power and the service engine light remains illuminated. The contact has taken the vehicle to the dealer five times and they replaced the wiring harness, accelerator, a few sensors, and reprogrammed the computer in the vehicle. The repairs only temporarily correct the issue for a few weeks, but then the failure recurs a month later. The contact is also experiencing failure with the passenger side air bag. The air bag remains off whenever an occupant is seated in the passenger seat. The dealer stated that it was supposed to remain off for a child's safety, but the owner claims that the failure occurs when adults are seated in the passenger seat as well. The dealer has not attempted to repair the air bag defect because they clam it is working as it was designed. The air bag defect has been occurring since the vehicle was purchased with approximately 30 miles. The failure mileage for the hesitation issue was 3,000 and current mileage was 12,000.
