I was going up the local range which is not too steep, I had just passed a B.double and changed into third and had nothing. I was lucky enough to pull in to a drive and not be hit by the B,double. I thought that I had done a tail shaft but on inspection found it it be the clutch. I had it towed to a Suzuki dealer, some 63 klms away to have it repaired. They pulled it down and confirmed that it was a burnt out clutch. I assumed that it would be repaired under warranty. The sales people tell you about the 3 year or 100000 klm warranty but after you have bought, the small print in the back of the service book tells no warranty on clutch. As I have been driving many different vehicles for 60 years with no clutch problems in many hundred of thousands of klms I think Suzuki's answer to the problem "abnormal operation" is unfair as I have not had the car off the sealed roads and have not yet been in low the reduction gears.
