i bought a Grand Vitara, year 2012, I've had it for four years, have done 91524. To my horror, hop into my car ready to drive and to my surprise the gear stick was soo loose I couldn't believe it, the only think that holds it was the cover around the stick. I was shocked, don't want to think what would have happened if I was driving on the road.
Rang the car dealer, to my surprise no reply no feedback, a friend tried to help and was told because I didn't service my car with them I was not covered. Had my mobile mechanic look into it and was told I had a broken linkage stick. Great, this problem has nothing to do with service, to me this is a manufacturer fault, so why do I have to pay for their mistake? Estimated cost $2000 or more :-). I now need to tow the car to a workshop, what a problem.
