Verona EX

  • Automatic transmission
  • 120,000 miles

The engine would drink oil. Multiple misfires, 02 sensor issues, catalyst issues, knock sensor issues. I'd fix one thing something else would pop up. The worst car I've ever owned. Wish I looked here first. I have no idea how truly terrible this car was until I checked here. Wish I saw this website before I bought it.

Verona 2.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 103,000 miles

Engine Failed just outside 100,000 mile warranty. Struggled with the Extended Service company on coverage of the failure. The problem with the engine was that the cylinder walls were crumbling which caused loss of oil and pressure. The bogus warranty company tried to blame it on faulty casting on the block which by the way they do not cover/honor. I took the car to the dealer to do the oil changes every 3-5000 miles even so this one took over a month for them to see the light. The BBB complaint seemed to have an affect and once they got involved it only took a week to start the process of replacing the defective engine. Suzuki Customer service support was no help at all..

There was a reason that Suzuki only produced the car for 2 years. There is a reason why Suzuki just recently stopped selling cars in America.

My Olds Alero 4 cyl. Ecotec has 290,000 miles and still going strong so I guess you win some occasionally.

Verona EX V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 62,000 miles

This car is a piece of crap...that's being kind. Bought it without looking on here (never do that again), from about a month after I bought it, this thing had problems. Won't continue running, transmission slipping, engine doing all kinds of crazy stuff, drinking oil, etc etc etc. Traded it in last week & got $2500...worth the loss to get rid of this death trap. Will never buy anything with the Suzuki name on it again.
