Verona

  • 74,000 miles
The contact owns a 2004 Suzuki Verona. The contact stated that the headlights would intermittently fail. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 14V262000 (exterior lighting) and contacted the manufacturer. The manufacturer was under liquidation and was not able to honor the recall repair at a local dealer due to a lack of dealers in the contact's state. The closest dealer to the contact was over 120 miles from his residence. The contact was not comfortable driving the vehicle that far due to the potential risk of a fire erupting in the vehicle from the headlight failure. The manufacturer advised the contact that if he wanted the vehicle repaired, he would have to pay for the recall repair himself. The failure mileage was 74,000.

Verona 6-cyl

  • 65,000 miles
I have received a recall "xc" notice, important safety recall. Daytime running light (drl) may over heat risking vehicle fire. I called Suzuki auto (877) 697-8985 because the closest dealership is now a days drive away (some 300 miles) instead of here in town. I told 2 or 3 different people I was able to talk to, that it is not possible for me to drive that far. I am on va and social security disabilities also full time care giver with help from the state for my 87 year old mother who suffers from dementia. Suzuki will not authorize any other dealership or repair facility to replace the module. I either drive to phoenix, AZ or try to sue them if the car catches fire. It is their mandatory recall and should do all that needs being done to make the repair rather than tell me sorry if you live to far away to get it done.

The contact owns a 2004 Suzuki Verona. The contact received a notification for recall NHTSA campaign number: 14V363000 (exterior lighting). However, the part to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.

I am going to list the problems that I have with my 04 Suzuki Verona ex. 1. turn signals do not cancel out (usually while turning left) 2. steering wheel audio controls, volume acts like a mute, seal acts like mode, mode turns off radio and the cd player sticks. 3. heated seats turn on and off by itself. You need to push the button a few times before it will activate. 4. cruise control will disengage by itself (this is intermittent) 5. head lights burn out about every 3 - 4 months. 6. one ABS sensor went out around 30K miles and the second went out about 80K miles. 7. right now I have cylinders 5 & 6 that are misfiring on the vehicle that need to be replaced. The amount to fix this problem is more then my car is worth. We are 3K miles over warranty and so far Suzuki will not help.
