The brakes of the car becomes hard and locks the car from moving. The dash board will show traction light on with the reading "traction control service / stability control service" the first incident happened September 2010. Miles covered 55391. Matter taken with Suzuki and the dealer. They said the brake pads wore out, so replaced the pads and the rotor for $536. The problem repeated but after 2 hrs brakes got released. The traction control and stability control switch was put off to avoid the danger of the vehicle getting auto braked in the middle of the highway. However the switch did not work and the problem repeated two times. Taken up with another dealer. They have stated that brakes and rotor need to be replaced with certain other kits for a price of $2100. Talking with Suzuki and they stated that the vehicle is not under warranty. Hence, I have to pay for the repair. I fail to understand how can the brake pads lock the moving vehicle automatically. It is the most dangerous situation especially on highways. Someone please help.
