The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and he was informed that the fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet diagnosed nor repaired. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 223,000.

When I fill up my tank my vehicle has trouble starting and also makes a noise while starting.the temperature gage no longer works and the blinker handle has to be manually turn off after turning.please let me know whats going on.this SUV now has 95,000 miles love it but am concerned is this a pricey repair.need to know if there's any recalls for my vehicle.a concerned owner.

2007 Suzuki XL7. Consumer writes in regards to a defective fuel pump module. The consumer stated he/she didn't receive a recall notice, until five years later, following Suzuki's testing that a defect existed. The consumer would like to have the matter investigated and impose fines against General Motors, Suzuki and Bosch, due to their intentional concealment and untimely delay at issuing a recall.
