The contact owns a 2009 Suzuki XL7. While driving approximately 30 mph, the hood suddenly flew open. The contact stopped the vehicle and noticed that the strut that held the hood up was fractured. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer for diagnostics. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 29,500.
