- replace 12v lead-acid battery...every 2 years (1 reports)
This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Tesla dealer.
Walked up to my car after working a 12-hour shift to find myself Locked Out. Car won't turn on because the the Lead-Acid battery was faulting the Vehicles Body Module (door and window controller). It also wouldn't connect the contactors to the High Voltage battery (which charges the 12V lead-acid battery). Tesla requested I have it towed to their shop for replacement (paid by Tesla). Replaced 12V Battery under warranty. It took 2 days and was a huge waste of time--I could replace it myself in 2 hours.
