Rear driver sidewall of my discoverer ht plus tire split in half. Tire store told me it was an impact tear when nothing was hit/runover needs to be checked into thankfully I was only going 30 miles per hour and stability control had to take over after the tire deflated.

2006 Toyota 4runner sport, 4.0L 4WD. Vibration felt via steering wheel, which occurs during acceleration/deceleration and across wide speed range. Higher frequency, low amplitude quality. Felt when vehicle is traveling in straight line, but has changed speed and is felt when steering wheel is turned slightly off center as in small course corrections. When accelerating or decelerating, there seems to be resonant feedback felt through the steering wheel as if there is directing contacting the steering rod. Dealer attempted to correct with an alignment of the frontend and rotation and balance of the tires/wheels. The result is that the original sensation is still present and the corrective attempt was not effective.

My Toyota SR5 was bought in Feb 06, I have 7400 miles on it. My right rear tire split open on tread and was splitting around the edge and sidewall. Last Saturday on my weekly inspection of the truck the tires had no defect. Luckily it was caught before an accident occured. The dealer has ordered a replacement tire and statede it ws a defective tire. The tire was made by Bridgestone, K0305 D840Z P265/65R17 tubeless steel belted radial. My concern is that is made from a defective lot and that my other tires and tires currently sold have major safety problems.
