According to the Toyota service department after the AC refresher / flush it may help or not. There have been many problems with Toyota Mold and Mildew collection in the coils. I have a friend that has an independent shop and a Toyota Certified Mechanic told him right in front of me that after 2 additional treatments that the problem will never go away.
TOYOTA you should take responsibility for the poor design that occurs in your top of the line Lexus too and repair or replace the AC.
By the way my daughter had the same problem with a top of the line Camry and traded it in. We thinking it was isolated situation bought a 4 runner thinking it would be fine. Well I am going to spray the coils again and not expect a different outcome.
My wife has allergies and your failure to engineer a functional AC will result in the purchase another SUV ( happy wife happy life). I promise it will not be a Toyota ever again. It is no surprise that KIA and Hyundai are taking away market share from Toyota. This is the reason Toyota is offering a rebate or reduced interest rate? Was it to move some dead inventory? Buyer Beware
