Having a brand new 40,000+ vehicle and having to replace the harness at $4,000 out of pocket or turning it into our insurance before it's a year old is definitely not right! Especially when the wiring is made of something that's attracting rodents! Especially when it could have been prevented if Toyota had warned us and we could have bought rodent tape to put over the wiring when we bought it.
Also, the service techs apparently did not notice a mouse nest on the engine in my car after 4 service visits. And 1 visit was do to mouse nest in my cabin air filter!!! So mad at this situation. My first Toyota I purchased was a used 2008 and I never had a major problem like this the whole 7+ yrs I owned it. I expected better when I purchased a brand new one. So disappointed in Toyota and the service I haven't received. They need to warn customers about this issue or cover the cost in warranty or something. This is ridiculous!!!
