six cylinder engine began smoking and consumed oil very quickly and fouled number one and two cylinder plugs. Mechanic ran compression and compression test was great. found oil on top of all cylinders and clogged PCV with oil in PCV line. replaced PCV, twice..... did not fix problem, even after driving over 200 more miles, still smokes and still consumes oil. Smoke is blue to gray in color, but really does not smell like oil. PCV valve was re checked and seems to be working. Car runs great and smokes sometimes, not all the time. No consistancy on smoking patterns. Cold starts, sometimes and next time no smoke. Hot starts same way. One time a lot of smoke, next time, none. Really bum fuzzled?????

At 42000 blue smoke started to come from my new 1998 Toyota Avalon, the dealer wanted to put a used engine in for $5000,well i received a recall letter on this modle, but because i did not have bills for oil changes for the last three years Toyota would not repair my car which cost my husband, and my self a lot of money. So much for Toyota.
