Airbag light came on and remains on. Unlikely that the airbag will deploy in the event of an accident from what I have read. Car too old to put $2,800. with no guarantee that will resolve the problem. Car won't pass inspection with airbag light on. Clearly this should be under a recall but I found no recall for Toyota airbags until year 2004. Dealer wanted $125. to do diagnostic.

The airbag light went on. Took to the dealership, required replacement of the floor harness, front passenger seat belt and a computer. Called Toyota, they refused any assistance. Obviously, the problem was caused by faulty installation. Had to proceed with expensive repairs but still sure Toyota is at fault.
