problem #1

Avalon Limited V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 90,000 miles

Paid 38K for this vehicle. wished I had bought a Honda, or a Ford or Buick.

This car because of all the recalls has a low resell value. Driving down the road one spring day we hit a small dip which caused the right front coil spring to break. Upon examination the broken piece of spring looked like it was made from pot-metal ie cheap.

Repairs will be 2 new coil springs and 2 new front struts - Labor and Parts from Toyota would result in having to take out a home equity loan . I had Toyota's Platinum 7 year 100K bumper to bumper extended warranty coverage - well I was still within mileage , but since I bought the car in sept 2005 I was over the time limit. So Toyota of course told me to piss off. Calls to Toyota do absolutely no good as they just refer all calls & emails to the dealer closest to the customer. And of course my dealer absolutely sucks they want to charge you for breathing the air.

Last time I ever buy a Toyota and mainly because their customer service is non- existent. I had a problem with my Ford Truck and the Ford people where calling my house making sure I was happy - Toyota told me to Piss-Off & I will remember that, and will express my opinion about Toyota every chance I get and believe me I come in contact with a ton of people everyday , as well as my wife and my 5 kids , bothers , sisters , parents , friends, strangers etc etc - Toyota you Suck!
