The steering column is adjustable. The lock on the adjustment seems forthright and simple. However, it failed to stay locked in place after adjustment. Normal manipulation of the steering wheel causes the lock to fall down and the steering wheel is loose and floppy. The dealer replaced the entire steering column once in an attempt to rectify the situation, but it didn't. Over the years, I have continually registered complaints with the dealer as I'd brought the car in for service, but they say nothing more could be done. Now at 72,000 miles, the lock comes undone as I'm driving several times a day. I find it hard to believe I'm the only one with this problem, and I feel that a simple fix could be designed to hold the locking mechanism in place.
