Purchased this car used and in excellent condition. Since I bought it the brake pedal has always gone to the floor. On 9/8/12 I took the car to my local dealership for an oil change and was told I needed a new Master Cylinder because brakes went all the way to floor. Sales rep quoted a price but we took to our own mechanic. Our mechanic ordered part and changed it (for a little less $$) but told us he didn't think the one he replaced was bad.He went on to say that there have been numerous issues with the 2007 Avalon from brake systems to accelerator problems. My brakes feel no differently and I am concerned that one day when I go to use them they are going to fail causing an accident. I will continue to look into this and see what recourse I may have with Toyota for faulty equipment. Until resolved will be very timid about driving my car in general. I don't have another auto and can't afford to purchase a new one so,hopefully my brakes continue to stop my car.

The brake pedal started going to the floor. Checked the brake fluid and it was fine. Replaced the front and rear brake pads but it did not solve the problem. I have to continue to drive this vehicle while I look for a solution.
