This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Toyota dealer.
The day after I went to the dealer for an oil change, all the wiper fluid dumped out in my garage. I thought they must've knocked it loose at the dealer, but when I called they said that on "some" of the Avalons the hose was a little too short and would fall off, but that it wasn't happening enough for Toyota to issue a recall. They replaced it with a longer hose and told me it was still covered under the standard warranty. It seems like it would've been easier to just put a long enough hose on the car when it was built.

You can not fix the windshield wiper hoses that constantly fall apart. When you pull out the plastic screws that hold the underhood heat shield in place they break.
Toyota does not have a part number for these. They are only available with a $200 replacement heat shield. $200 for a 5 cent plastic screw designed to break when you take it off. You can not re connect the cheap ass hoses for the windshield squirter without taking off the heat pad under the hood. These hoses keep falling off. When I squirt the windshield the fluid squirts under the pad and soaks the engine compartment. A lousy, cheap design with no thought about serviceability. This is a 5 year old car with no replacement clips for the heatshield. No one cares. Try calling the Toyota Complaint Dept. They suck. They connect you to the nearest inept dealer who could care less. Toyota has gotten too big to care about their customers.
