I have a problem that I am afraid could cause me to have an accident. Just a few months after purchasing my 2010 Toyota Avalon I started having this problem intermittently. Sometimes it kind of stalls. Usually happens when I am turning from a complete stop, such as turning right or left. It is as though my car stalls for a moment. I give it gas, but it doesn't do anything for a few moments. Usually around 15 to 20 mph. If iam pulling out in front of traffic I almost get hit. Recently I was on the highway, I just pulled out and was going approx. 40 mph and it stalled for a few moments, maybe less than a minute. If a car had been behind me I would have been hit. Each time I told the service advisor @ the dealer I was told they had to be able to duplicate this. It only does it on occasion. But this is a serious problem.

On our 2010 Toyota Avalon we have had all the lights on our dash go out for a period of 10 seconds or so on 2 different occasions while we were applying the brakes and making a turn. The dash lights on all our gauges go out and come back on there own. The brakes continue to work and no harm was done to anyone, but when we took it back to out dealer they could not make it do it when they checked it out so they simply returned our car back to us without any further investigation. We are concerned because this isn't normal. Is there something wrong with the electrical system on this car or something to due with the computer system?

My new (purchased Sept. 2009) 2010 Toyota Avalon was involved in an accident due to a vehicle defect (this model is under a recall by Toyota). I came to a complete stop for a vehicle backing out of a driveway. After the other vehicle came to a complete stop, I proceeded to go around the other vehicle (which remained stationary). As soon as I touched the accelerator, my vehicle accelerated rapidly. I took my foot off the gas pedal immediately but I could still hear the engine revving at high speed. I was unable to stop my vehicle until it had gone a distance of two blocks and had crashed into four parked cars, damaging them substantially. Fortunately, there were no personal injuries.
