Dealer tells me several times it is working as designed. I was able to demonstrate to the service manager that the trunk lid comes down on its own or in a light breeze. Still no action, and Toyota was notified, but no resolution.

If on a slight incline, nose up, trunk lid will not pop open when button pressed. Lid will not stay up, falls on my head (twice). Dealer tells me (twice) nothing broken, working as designed,...yeah, right, designed to fall on my head. Considering carrying a short section of broom handle. Toyota corporate contacted, and filed with NTSB.
