Bought car used in Texas. It had belonged to an Oklahoma woman who did not drive it much before she died. Her daughter took to Austin TX. I was in NY and had my brother-in-law look at the car. He drove it and liked it, so I bought it. Had it shipped here. First drive was on highway in rain at night. The distortion through the rear window was so bad it was dangerous to try to change lanes. Not much better in clear weather. With the passenger-side side window making vehicles appear much smaller than they are, there is no way to safety change lanes to the right at night. Daytime is better; the distortion is still pronounced but less dangerous. I want to replace the window but am concerned that any replacement window will be just as bad. What a horrible defect to allow to be built into a vehicle. This is my fourth Toyota. I used to consider Toyota a responsible, respectable manufacturer. Not so much any longer.
