C-HR

  • Automatic transmission
  • 6,800 miles

We purchased two of these C-HRs in January and both vehicles received windshield damage from rocks. This vehicle received a chip / crack and windshield needs replacement. Believe this model has inferior glass or an improper slant. This is the third crack in the windshield of our CHRs. I've driven over 500,000 miles and never had this many cracks in all the previous vehicles. There is defective glass or a bad slant to the windshields.

Second chip in window, believe it is inferior glass or not slanted enough.

C-HR Premium 2.0L

  • CVT transmission
  • 29,826 miles

This is the 3rd time in a 1.5 years that this windshield cracked beyond repair, each time from a small stone hitting the windshield. I've owned Nissan 200sx, Toyota Corolla, Toyota Matrix, Chrysler Neon and all the cars windshields have been hit by stones and larger objects which never destroyed the windshield. I either left the chip as is or repaired the stone chip. Not the case with this C-HR! The last 2 times I got a stone chip, it destroyed the windshield. I'm telling you, there is something up with this windshield. Well, gonna replace it one last time then sell this car! Had enough of this!

Update from Aug 29, 2019: Don't get me wrong, it's a very good vehicle, but that windshield is not holding up against small rocks impacting it.

We own two C-HRs and this is the forth issue with the windshield glass. Believe it's inferior glass or not slanted enough.
