Actually previous owner of 1993 toyota camry in the year of 2004 had taken my daughter to Baltimore Junior Academy to school in the 8th grade. Got on the beltway to go home as i was driving the car had begun to pick up really fast even as I begun to press on the brakes and nothing gave. I begun to roll the window down screaming out the window holaring letting the other drivers know i could not stop something was wrong with the car. I continue driving controlling the wheel going in and out of the safety line zoning to prevent from hitting some else car. I didnt know what to do. Saying im not ready to die leaving my kids they need me. Thinking to my self do i jump out, no i might kill my self,then the car would end up hitting someone else car. I was really scared my heart was racing it was hot outside and i was sweating.
Then there was two state trooper that was pulled up beside the car advising me what to put the gear in neutral and start pressing on the brakes it should begain slowing down. After the car came to a stop i put it in park jumped out of the car and ran to the officer very shook up and fell to my knees and started praying.The officer comfort me asking am i okay.The officer stated he could see that the car had accelerate and that something was wrong with the car. The car smelled just like burning rubber. I contacted the Belair branch where the car went mostly for service and they did not believe me as a client.So before i went to pick my kids up after school i check to make sure that it was nothing stuck up under the paddle and it was. My daughter and son was informed what had happen to me on the beltway and is a witness to these facts.
Now in 2004 when the branch was informed they could have looked into this then and tried to correct the mistake that was made which could have prevented this situation they are in right now six years later. After hearing on the news about the recall of the problem with the accelerator i said dashavue all over again ant that so mess. The day i saw the lady on the today show with her attorney and the family with the loss of the sister with the concerns of faultyness of the car had something to do with the dealth my heart went out to them it brought tears to my eyes and i wanted to call in with the facts that i had exsperienced. Reason coming forward with this now is beacause my family members remember me with the situation and in formed me to put in a complaint as well. your cooperation is greatly appreciate it with your assistant in my claim. thanks
