I braked and swerved to avoid hitting a metal tank that just fell off a trailer in front of me, hit the tank on the right front, then discontinued braking. Then the right front, left front, and right rear tires collapsed off the rims. I lost control of the car, swerved into the median/ditch, car turned 180 degrees and rolled back (almost rolled over). Car sustained significant body and undercarriage damage. Due to seat belt usage, my passenger and I sustained minor injuries only. I was travelling 50 mph on a 4-lane divided highway.
