problem #1

Camry LE 2.2L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 120,000 miles

my mother originally bought the Camry back in 2004, with 106000 miles, and the air worked great,, until the summer of 2006 when the light on the a/c button started flashing,, we had the problem checked several times, but no one could figure out what made it do it

what it was doing, was the compressor would stop compressing, when the light started flashing, and WOULD NOT come back on, so therefore its just like you turned it off, and no matter how many times you pressed that button, it didnt work anymore... to finally get the system to recover, i had to turn off the a/c and turn it to defrost for about 15 seconds, to let the excess pressure drain, and then it would come back on,

we finally had the freon changed, and we were told the pressure in the lines was to high, and that was most likely causing the compressor to malfunction
