I have had to replace the drivers side window regulator twice and it is still slightly off. Small crack between the window and seal near the back of the window when rolled up. When the window rolls down it falls right into place but not when rolled up. On rainy days water sprays in through the small crack.

Left rear window regulator and motor had a mechanical malfunction leaving window open with car vulnerable to break-ins and bad weather. Window would not stay up and unable to close. Surprisingly, the part was hard to find. Camry's are so ubiquitous that you would think it would be no problem to find a part, but the parts I did find online or locally were rather pricey, in my opinion. Dealer price for parts only was almost 400 dollars (labor adds another 230 dollars). Used junk yard price was 100 dollars, but found a new aftermarket part for 100 dollars and installed myself.

The mileage and date are guesses. Three years ago my driver side window began sticking and not going up completely right away. It went up completely after a few minutes. The problem was annoying so I called the dealer where I purchased the car (used) and they told me they had never heard of this problem and quoted a price of "at least $300 with parts and labor" to rectify the problem. The problem has become so bad that I can't lower the window because it takes forever to finally go up, sometimes 30 minutes or more. Not good when raining, snowing or cold. Now I read about recalls in models from 2004 and up but not my year, for the same problem. I called the dealership a few months ago when I first heard about this widespread problem and was told my car (year) was not part of the recall and it would cost "a few hundred dollars to fix because of parts and labor" but I have read it is a 40 minute fix, not hours. I am pissed. I stopped using this dealer a few years ago because of attitude on their part.
