engine issues

2001 Toyota Camry engine problem. Engine shakes jumps up and down. RPM meter jumps up/down at low speeds but no engine check code. Hard to diagnosis. Occurs at random and goes away by itself. I am guessing replacing spark plug and coil with wires might fix it.

Camry LE V4

  • Automatic transmission

Bought this car from a dealer. Two years later all the coolant ran out, the engine froze up and I had to put in another one or junk the car. I'd only had it 2 years and opted to fix it. Since then I've had the check engine light go on periodically - and it is "running too rich," meaning it still eats oil, which gums up the engine, which leads to expensive repairs.

Toyota was worse than useless in responding, at least the dealer was sympathetic. Can't wait to be rid of it.
