This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Toyota dealer.
My car was leaking antifreeze and then i heard this gurgling sound coming from my car. The dealer said I had a blown head gasket and needed a new engine totaling $6000. I am in shock. My car has been serviced by the dealer since I purchased it including all oil changes. Also, I had a crack in my radiator that the dealer did not catch, they said i had a leak in the water pump. But I also had a crack in the radiator.
I asked the technician what caused the blown head gasket and he just said I needed to replace the engine and I would be better off.
Got second opinion and there seems to be a defect in head gasket. Replacing head gasket and will let you know the outcome. Also called toyota and they said they have no reports of this happening. I want to take this viral to see how many people were have been harmed by this. According to the internet there seems to be an issue with 03 camry's and blown head gaskets.
please contact me if you have had this same problem at sophiafayette@yahoo.com

This is my second Toyota Camry and I am very unhappy that this major problem has occurred. My out of pocket cost per repair may be as much as $1000 and my car has only 58,000 miles as of today. I have always kept the oil changes and car maintenance done earlier than requested. I am a widow over 60 and still working, and I just can't afford these problems. I am so disappointed

Seems there is a problem ongoing with manifold. Am having the transmission and oil seals replaced and flushed at next oil change. Am wondering if this is the start of a sludge problem that I have read about on other sites.

This problem is annoying but mostly embarrassing, The clock knocking is noticeable by any one who comes in contact with the vehicle while its running.
The Toyota 2AZ-FE engine is so poorly designed and manufactured, that I feel the whole engine should have been recalled. F*ckers.
Update from Sep 4, 2015: The faulty baffle within the intake manifold is annoying, but mostly embarrassing, The knocking is noticeable by any one who comes in contact with the vehicle while its running.
The Toyota 2AZ-FE engine and it's components were so poorly designed and manufactured, that I feel the whole engine should have been recalled. F*ckers. At least the air bag on my car won't kill me. YThis will be over $550 to replace.
