Camry XLE V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 86,000 miles

The airbag alert first went off in 2008, and the dealership said that someone must have bumped into the car and set it off. Then it went off again in October 2013, and I took it back to the dealership. They said that one of the wires from the system to the passenger seat was loose because of something placed under the seat must have hit it. This isn't possible - I don't put things under the seats of my cars - ever.

Then a week after I took it to them, it went off again. Now they say that the seat cushion has to be replaced, and that sometimes this happens. Really? Perhaps this was what happened in 2008 when the car was still under warranty...
