Rear speaker covers (2) cracked and collapsed inward with no outside forces being applied. Inquired at southbay Toyota, gardena, ca as to wether this was a parts defect, as I had read many online complaints concerning this problem. I was only given a replacement cost of $65 plus tax.

Knocking noise in steering when turning steering wheel, loud noise. Occurred every time turning steering wheel. Took to dealer and had to replace steering shaft assembly, part #45220-33270. Dealers invoice was for $503.51 and after stating my case they charge me $233.18 "goodwill adjustment" the old part has been discarded. The Camry had only 37,257 miles on it.

I own a Toyota Camry 2005 purchased this fall. I have come close to having an accident at least a half a dozen times. The gas pedal and brake pedal seem to be designed so that are located too close to each other, so when I go to hit the brake I sometimes hit the accelerator pedal instead. This is going to lead to property or bodily harm. I emailed Toyota about a month ago but they just said to take it to the dealer who then said the brakes were adjusted. No way has this helped!

2005 Toyota Camry. Rear window speaker grills, both of them. They are cracking and falling apart even though no one has touched them an nothing has been placed on them. I understand this has become a common complaint. Toyota said I would have to replace the whole section for about $500 for parts. (not including labor) but others say the replacement part falls apart too.

On two occassions I thought I was stepping on the brake but the car surged backwards. I was able to stop but not before hitting a car behind me. The second time I hit a fence in a school parking lot while picking up young children. It was dismissal time so there were many 3-4 grade children around.

He has been experiencing problem either with the transmission or the accelerator. When he start to accelerate sometimes, usually in low speed, 20% to 40% of the time, there is a few seconds the car does not respond, and suddenly he feel a jolt and the car jumps violently. He has to look back whenever it happens to see if someone has crash in to his car. If there is a car infront of him while in traffic, this could lead potential car accident of hitting the car infront of him. He also has to make sure he does not park too close to other cars or the wall. I have help him reported the issue to dealer 2 times many months ago and they said they can not fix the problem if they can't feel the problem. I have also told the headquarter I found numerous complaints on the same hesitation/acceleration problem my father experiencing and I noticed Toyota have been telling other people same response that dealer can not fix the problem if dealer can not feel the problem, and dealer have been telling people this is normal behavior for those who revisited many times. There are hundreds of complaints about this issue if you go search on google (using keyward Toyota camery transmission problem). One of the website is I found from google result for example was www.autobytel.com/content/research/forums/index.cfm/action/posts/fid/2852. it has 27 pages of such complaints. I have also notice such complaints does not apply to just 2005 year camery but against 2002 and 2007 camery as well. With so many cars they sold over 5 years and so many complaints on their transmission that can lead accidents and possibly already did, Toyota are making individuals feel as if they are the only one imagining things. A few people said certain stores allow them to do a computer chip "fix, " and the fix was not helpful. On top of transmission problem. He noticed paint peeling, rust paint under 15X magnifying glasses, a bubble on dash board.

The consumer was told by Toyota that her vehicle has a design flaw. When looking out the side mirror on driver's side the vents reflect in the window. This causes poor visibility when looking into the mirror to check blind spots and oncoming traffic. At night the instrument panel lights reflect in the window also causing poor visibility. The consumer tried diming the instrument panel but that didn't help.

Consumer wants to file a claim regarding the non conformity of the windscreen for the 2005 Toyota Camry. There was a noise created by the windscreen which was abnormal and loud. There was also a vibration noise coming from the sunroof. Toyota's resolution was to refund money. Toyota also suggested that the noise was normal.
