Bought my son this car, he goes to college in the city ,he'll be driving along then one by one warning lights start coming on ABS first then all the others ,wipers go slower and radio fades until the car loses power steering ,and stalls can be dangerous if going through an intersection it then exhibits all the symptoms of a dead battery .Worst thing about this problem only happens every 4-6 weeks so mechanics cant get a handle on it .By the time the roadside assist get there (usually about 1/2 hour) the car starts again seems to reset and is good as gold again last time it did it before the other night was almost 8 weeks ago .In between the car runs economically well and perfect like new almost .Had alternator checked and timing belt replaced at the last service.About to give up on it as a lemon and never buy another Toyota again I was told these cars were "bulletproof" he needs a reliable safe car . One theory I had probably clutching at straws though is he obsessively plugs his iPhone into the charger on the auxiliary outlet whenever he is driving his first car before the camry had unexplained electrical faults as well still got the same charger surely this couldn't have anything to do with it ?
