Camry LE 4 cylendar

I live in Texas- AC has broken twice. Both times I went to Christian Brothers Automotive in Frisco located near Preston Road. I will not return to either. It does blow cold air, but now there is a weird whizzing sound that comes out of the vents that was not there before.

Camry 2.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 130,000 miles

TOOK MY CAR TO THE TOYOTA DEALERSHIP IN JACKSONVILLE,FL AND WAS TOLD I NEEDED A COMPRESSOR, AND ONCE I REPLACED THAT MY AC WOULD WORK FINE. WELL THE AC WENT BACK OUT THAT SEPTEMBER 2014. I WAS TOLD MY SENSOR NEEDS TO BE REPLACED ON THE CAR NOW. WHICH I BELIEVE THAT WAS THE ISSUE IN THE VERY BEGINNING. I HAVE TAKEN THE CAR BACK 3 TIMES SINCE THEN, AND WAS TOLD TWO DIFFERENT REASONS WHY THE CAR WAS BLOWING OUT HOT AIR AGAIN. TO FIX IT NOW WILL COST $1900 I REFUSE TO PAY THEM FOR THAT.

Camry SE V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 125,000 miles

The engine light and ABS light illuminate as I am driving, and my speedometer drops to zero ...my tachometer (RPMS) goes haywire..as if it is arcing. The temperature gauge drops to cold and bounces back up to normal...and during all this, my AC blows out warm air. I've had 2 mechanics attempt to fix this, they never seen anything like this before. All attempts have failed. I replaced ABS computer module, and checked some harness wires...no fix so far. When this issue occurs, it is intermittent, and unpredictable. For example it can last 2 seconds, 30 seconds or the whole ride home!

Camry ES

  • Automatic transmission
  • 40,000 miles

I bought my car in 2007 brand new. I started traveling often in 2012 to the desert because my family moved there and I would visit them every other weekend. I would hardly turn on the AC here in L.A and when I would turn it on it would cool right away so I would lower it or end up turning it off.

Anyways when I started traveling to the desert my stay there would be up to a week, sometimes I would turn on the AC all the time I got in the car because it was in the 100's there. As time went by the AC stop cooling like it use to and the car will shake every time I would turn it on. Every time I took it to service I would forget to mention that because like I said, I would hardly turn it on here in LA. So every time I would travel to the desert I was remind that something was wrong with the AC. Well now that is hot here in LA I turn it on and I remember and I happen to take my car to service and mentioned it, and yes, there's something wrong and the cost to fix it is $1,400.

My question is how come if I pay for a minor check up that cost around $140.00 and they never find any major problems, they wait until the warranty expires or what?

Camry LE V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 55,201 miles

ABS AND Brake light intermittently come on. When this happens the speedometer stops working and the a/c starts to blow warm air. This can happen doing 45 mph or with the car idling. When it happens it can stay that way for 10 seconds or as long as 5 minutes. I have spent over $700 between a couple mechanics and my local Toyota Dealership and the problem still has not been rectified. I took it to my local St. Thomas, VI Toyota Dealership and they charged me $320 to change the diagnose that one ABS sensor needed to be replaced and another was incorrectly connected. They replaced the ABS sensor and connected the other correctly, however I still have the problem. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I would like get the problem rectified.

Camry LE 3.8L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 29,000 miles

I have a 2007 Camry LE with 29000 miles. I have a problem with the AC. I get only cold air out of one vent, the center vent. The, 07' Camry as you are aware, has two center vents. The passenger side vent is cold, except on humid days. The left center vent produces warm air, as does the driver's side vent. This does not seem reasonable.

I took the vehicle, that has seven yr. extended warranty, into my dealer, Berlin City of Portland. This is there answers to me:

1. The air conditioners of today are not for humid weather? 2. By the time the 45 degree air gets to the next vent, it's heated by the warm dash. 3. Compared to my 03' Dodge Ram, this is different coolant. 4. They reported to me no leaks or other problems visible to them. It is operating normal.

I have a problem with # 4! When I first purchased this vehicle, I was satisfied the AC was operating cold air coming out of all the front vents. Could it be the blenders gates are not working properly? I know the AC on Maximum, does not keep the car from being uncomfortable?
