I was very happy with my 07 Toyota Camry until one day my car just decided to have this issue. the Tachometer goes crazy, speedometer stops working, and also the Air Conditioning in the car stops working. this problem is happening intermittently but very frequent. I tried doing some research and found out its a very common problem with Toyota Camry. There are some videos on Youtube, where it is suggested to change the ABS module. This should definitely be a recall and Toyota should cover this issue.

speedometer 0, ABS alarm on, brake alarm on, a/c no working
I have a 2007 Toyota Camry. Recently, when I was driving, I found the speedometer on the panel just went to zero, and brake alarm and ABS alarm on, also the A/C didn't work simultaneously. Sometimes, the speedometer came back to normal, and then all the other problems would be gone at the same time. I went to an independent mechanic, and was told it was electric problem, and it was very difficult to check. I am surprised to find so many others had the same issue too, and apparently it is related to manufacture but not individual's driving. I wish Toyota company could solve this problem. The milage of my car is only around 84000.

The speedometer goes to 0 and the ABS light and the Emergency Brake light come on. The air conditioner does not blow cold air. I was told it was the ABS modulator. I did not fix it due to cost est of $1700 for the part.

Noticed that radar was showing that my speed was slower than my car speed indicated on my display. The car speed indication is about 10% faster than the radar. If the radar indicates 35 mph the speedodometer is reading 38 mph. This means that the mileage also is not correct. A 10% error in 36,000 miles you would have only traveled 32,400 miles. Honda had the same problem and a class action suit was filed. Honda had to extend the warranty mileage by 10%. I have an appointment with the dealer next week.
