I'll replace both the front calipers, see if that solves the shaking steering wheel problem. I already know that any dealer will try to avoid the fact that their products or vehicles have anything to do with the issue. I know Toyota lost billion of dollar alone on the Camry recall. I think they fix the newest once. But for sure I'm not going for Toyota on the next purchase, Because there are many problems on my 2007 Camry not just the brake alone. The driver side sun visor is broken, the interior is falling apart, The suspension sucks ( the original) I changed mine to Eibach and KYB it's better. The back brakes changed twice included on one, the rotor, but the front never wore out. You know and I know that's not right.

For many years I continuously heard excellent reports about Toyota cars before I purchased a 2007 Certified Toyota Camry in 2009 from Toyota Waldorf, in fact I considered myself to be one of Toyota’s biggest fans from afar. My plan was to drive the Toyota for 2-3 years and then purchase my dream car, the Lexus RX 350…
In 2010, I found myself constantly defending Toyota during the media frizzy and the relentless attacks made by critics. I even brushed off the recalls in 2010 until I became one of the victims and nearly lost my life when all the oil drained out of my car in less than 1 minute while driving in NY.
Since 2010, in addition to the recall, my visor on the driver and passenger’s side has broken….. Secondly, in October 2011, I nearly lost my life again while driving my Camry- my brakes went completely out.
I took my car to the dealership and was told that the Power Brake Booster needed to be replaced… As of today, December 20, 2011, I still do not have this part. It has been on back order (not from Toyota Waldorf) since the end of October, 2011. Not only am I inconvenienced, but I’m paying on a car I cannot even drive or trade in for blue book value…
I’m at my wits in, it appears as though I was sold a certified lemon and my faith in Toyota is broken.. I have to wonder is my dream of getting a Lexus RX 350 truly shattered???

When I press down my brakes they make a hissing noise. My car eventually stops but not immediately. My Check Engine light is also on. I will be reporting that in my next post. The only reason that I'm posting it here is because that was the first indication that something was wrong with my car. It was only until after the indicator came on that I noticed the hissing noise. The hissing noise has been gradually increasing. I took my car to CarMax and Midas even though I bought it brand new and they both confirmed that it was my brake booster and that this should not be a problem with at Toyota. I have had over the phone estimates from $600 - $1500. RIDICULOUS!!!!!
I truly believe that this is a manufacturer's defect and should be covered under a recall. If anyone else is having a problem with this please post!!!! I would like to hear more.

Brakes seemed to not be working so well, then they started making a sound that was like leaking air, then my check engine light came on. I brought my into the mechanic this morning, he told me my brake booster needed to be replaced or repaired. Why with so few miles is anything like this even happening?!?!?! Lately, with all the issues Toyota has been having, I have become appalled at their standards and will never buy another Toyota again! I am going back to Ford! A truck I never had trouble with even with over 100,000 miles and 7 years including 3 years of driving 60 miles per day. Toyota has failed me!

The 2007 Toyota camry has 33500 miles and brake booster doesn't work anymore. The warning light is lit up. Took the car to the dealership and they diagnosed that the brake booster is not working ! The car does not come to full stop when brakes are applied. The brakes have to applied really hard for the car to stop. The problem sounds similar to the Oct 21st 2010 recall that is announced. Called the customer service and they refused to pay for the repair since the car is out of the 3 year warranty period. The cost of repair is 1500$ !! This is awful! It was a very bad decision to buy a Toyota
There are many more recalls to come from Toyota. Never ever buy a Toyota !

I bought this car brand new from Toyota dealer, at 45000 miles the car started to give me problems when apply the brake, it did not full stop and sound like leaking air, I thought that the brake worn out so I came to dealer to purchase complete brake discs and pads cost $700. Brought them to a friend's shop to replace all of them, I found out my old pads only worn out 50% but the front discs are totally warped, rear discs are worn 75% so I went ahead to replace all. After that, the problem still existed and my friend told me the main problem is from brake booster. Now I am totally disappointed with Toyota because the cost to fix it about $1500. This is really painful. My next car won't be Toyota.
