My car is a manual. There is no direct link when I clutch, only a drive by wire system, and the car feel as if it is about to stall out all the time. The lack of precision is awful for someone who has driven a manual for 40 years. Took if for a drive with rep from Toyota factory who said, yes, that's the way it is with the new...electronic throttles (turn out the problem is really the electronic throttle). He said many people complain, but how many can it be? Only a few of us drive manuals. This drive took place in the spring of 2009.
