Camry LE 2.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 90,000 miles

It'd happen when you least expected it. I’d be driving down the road and then all of a sudden my speedometer would read 0mph leaving me complexly guessing at what speed I’m doing , it would cause he car to misfire when sitting at a stoplight and would cause the dash break and abs light to come on. Not knowin what speed I was traveling was the worst issue but luckily they made an app for that only problem was is driving and playing other your phone to open up an app so you don’t speed is never a good combination and that issues an extended warranty for this part for the hybrid part not the standard part even though both fail.

I have had multiple electrical problems with this car including fuses blowing constantly. Now the dashboard buttons including heat, a.c., defrost, blowers for feet, etc. do not work and does nothing when you hit it. And the blinkers you can hear blinking but cannot visibly see anything blinking outside or inside.

TOYOTA SHOULD PAY FOR THIS, WHICH IS NOT JUST ONE CUSTOMER. WHY SHOULD CUSTOMERS PAY FOR AN ELECTRICAL DEFAULT WHICH IS CLEARLY THE MANUFACTURER - TOYOTA.

SHOULD GET A LAWSUIT.

Camry LE 2.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 124,000 miles

My dashboard lights are turning off at night when my headlights come on. I can still see the green light that shows the headlights are on and I can see that the car is in park, drive, etc. It makes it really difficult to drive at night when I cannot see the speedometer, the RPMs, the gas level, etc...

I tried to have it checked for electrical issues, but they tell me that the computer does not show anything because the check engine light is not on.

Any help or solutions would be great!

One morning in February 2015, my 2007 Toyota Camry engine wouldn't turn over. My husband replaced the fuel pump. About three weeks after, as I was driving down the road and after about ten minutes, the speedometer needle dropped to "0", the RPM needle bounced, the ABS light as well as the brake light came on and stayed, the air conditioner quit blowing cold air and the temperature gauge bounced. This lasted about five minutes or less and the same process started over again several times while driving. My husband thought it was possibly the alternator and he replaced it.

I was driving out of town and again, after about ten minutes, the dash gauges went crazy again and I pulled into Hudson Toyota in Madisonville, Kentucky. They hooked it up to a diagnostic machine and said everything looked fine. They also went on to tell me that the alternator my husband put on "must have been faulty", and to replace it.

We bought this car in 2012 and thought we had a good dependable Toyota! We cannot afford to replace it, fix it and nobody would take it on trade. Very disappointed in Toyota!

Tonight, my husband gets online and finds "Car Complaints" and starts reading similar problems. NOT A COINCIDENCE! Shame on Toyota!! I will be starting a FaceBook page to tell my story. It will be titled "Shame on Toyota, Not standing by their products" Please join me!

Update from Apr 4, 2015: So, we've had another dealership tell us that it is not the electrical problem. We're going to let a local mechanic look at it and fix it.

First...The tire pressure sensor was on for about 6 months..Second..The brake and abs lights came on, the speedometer and tachometer went crazy..

Took to dealership. Was told after I have the tire sensor fixed, the other would correct itself.

Following week..Took to independent car repair shop, and had tire sensors fixed. But, the other remains.

I'm taking my car into a place who specializes in electrical, as I'm not too sure if The dealership will not know what's going on. Especially telling me getting the tire pressure sensor would correct the other...

Isn't a Toyota Dealership Service Center supposed to be the Experts on their cars? Good Grief!!!
