My 2007 Camry went through the oil consumption engine repair in October 2016 at the St. Charles, IL dealer. Upon leaving the dealer, I noticed the car engine noise was louder and when in Park, Reverse and Drive, the car now has a significant vibration that can be felt throughout the whole body of the car (steering wheel, brake, seats, etc). Took it back to the dealer explaining it was running worse after the repair. They checked the mounts and made sure nothing was loose and determined the vibration was normal by comparing it to another car. I said this was not acceptable, that my car did not run like this prior to their repairs and I was told they see nothing wrong with it and I can take it and get a second opinion. I called the Toyota Customer Assistance number and they said they could not do anything for me since the dealer is stating there is nothing wrong with it. So, now it is my issue that I need to pay another mechanic to look into. They said if I can prove that it has something to do with the engine repair, I can bring it back to them to review. In addition to their repairs, I paid $572 for them to replace the Valve Stem Seals (which, after googling, appears to be a standard claim they are making to most owners that these need to be repaired and is cheaper while they have the engine apart) the car should be running with no problems. Very disappointed in Toyota.
