Camry LE 2.O

The dim lights are terrible. We've changed the bulbs several times. It's very dangerous to drive it at night. I'm not sure what else to do.

Is really scary to drive at night, The only lights that really work are the high beams. I usually just have to avoid driving my car at night. It's really inconvenient. I've been really disappointed with Toyota. The headlights were so bad that you could not see the road at night

Camry LX 4

The headlights were so bad that you could not see the road at night. The lights were on, but they were not projecting out to the road. I replaced both front light assembly's and now have headlights for the first time. The cost is about $120 if you install them yourself.

I have a 2007 Toyota Camry. The headlights are terrible. They are so dim and it's scary to drive at night. I'm looking forward to when I can get a new car, so I can actually see at night. I had to get a new battery and a new alternator and hoped that would help, but it didn't. Changing the light bulbs does nothing. It's so dim it practically looks the same at night with the lights on or off. The only lights that really work are the high beams. I usually just have to avoid driving my car at night. It's really inconvenient. I've been really disappointed with Toyota. I thought they were suppose to be a good brand. For all the money I put into this car, I feel like I should have gotten a better product.

Camry LE 2.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 120,000 miles

My 2007 Toyota Camry LE headlights problem is.....I leave my headlamp switch in the "always on" position. Often at night, I have to turn the headlamp switch to the "off" position to verify that my headlights are on. There is so little difference between "headlights on" and "headlights off". Many times I have to get out of the car, walk to the front and visually verify the headlights are turned on. In darkness, the headlights seem like they are not on, when in fact, they are. I would do the fix if I knew what it is. I suspect the low beam lens is so cloudy that replacing the headlamp assemblies is the correction, but that is a $400.00 repair if you do-it-yourself. Sure, aftermarket assemblies are cheaper, but usually leak water and have a poor fit. I am shocked that I seem to be the only one with this problem. Really, the problem is that bad.

Camry CE 4-2.4L-Fi

low beam headlights unable to see road at night

cleaning the outside of the lens{$94.01) does not work so I have had new higher intensity bulbs installed $84.00 to try to avoid replacing the headlights at a cost of $350.00 per headlight per Toyota's cost and I assume labor will be added to this price. I am hearing this is a problem with other cars as corrosion can build up around the magnashield (may be incorrect word for the area around the bulbs) that causes the light to be dimmed. Toyota needs to recall these cars and correct the defect as it is dangerous to drive at night and illegal to drive with the high beams on which is the only way to see the road or persons walking. Living in the mountains, there are many areas with no street lights which makes this more dangerous!
