This comes after warranty ran out and after I replaced multiple ignition coils. Service at Toyota is also despicable. If they FEEL they can fit you in. (probably because they are slammed fixing their dogshit cars) they will charge an ASS-Ton of cash, in this case it's $5000. Even basic maintenance there is incredibly overpriced.

Can't believe what a piece of you know what this car is--we took it to the dealer numerous times to explain a jerking but they told us it was just the car acting normally!!! The transmission went out all in one day. No way to shift-very, very dangerous! Could have stalled right on the freeway! Toyota hasn't helped at all. Won't ever buy a Toyota again. Had an old Toyota truck, 1994, and it ran for years. They knew when we brought the car in that it was having trouble, but they let our warranty lapse and have offered us nothing!!! $5,000 to get a new transmission. Toyota needs to own up that they have a major problem with transmission and need to fix them for their customers! Go buy anything but a Toyota!!!

I have a 2007 Toyota Camry XLS with a V6 engine. I commute each week about 600 miles, 98% highway miles! My transmission had always had the issue mentioned frequently about a slight lurch or revving between certain lower gears. But one day back in November 2012, it started to really slip. The lower gears you could hear them rev and it might take a few seconds to switch. Made an appt for the next day and my car never left my block that next day. Had to have it towed!! Yes, I had a little more than 200,000 miles but like I said it was all highway miles. This should not happen. You pay a premium for a "reliable" toyota camry!! There are recall after recall on this car, and then many other they don't designate as a "recall" just a suggested replacement of a part or fix that they will pay for. I guess this keeps their recall #'s low so Toyota does not have to answer why so many recalls for their pride and joy camry. I am so fed up!!!

I purchased my first brand new Toyota Camry LE. I was so excited because I was under the impression that I purchased a reliable, sturdy and valuable car that would last me a long time. So you can imagine my dismay when in late December 2010, my car started leaking transmission fluid and it wasn’t in an accident.

I thought the seal was broken and spent money to have it replaced, to only find out that the car was still leaking transmission fluid. In January 2011, I took my car to DARCARS Toyota in Silver Spring, only to be told that my transmission needs to be replaced. My car is only three years old and it has approximately 61,771 miles. I could not fathom that my transmission would need replacement after three years of driving. The representative at DARCARS told me that if I didn’t have the money to purchase a new transmission, I should not have them service it any further to find out the cause of the damage. He tried to explain that the transmission was overworked and according to their diagnostic test, my transmission had internal damage. Again, how does this happen on a new car???

Unfortunately for me, I don’t have money to purchase a new transmission. I took my car back home, unfixed and no hope or assistance from Toyota. Then a week later, I called back to Toyota and asked them about trading in my car. Well, because I don’t have any money to put down on the sale and my credit score is low – again, Toyota cannot assist me. So again, I left disappointed and disheartened because I have no car and Toyota has yet to explain how a three-year old transmission needs replacement.

Since I cannot afford Toyota nor was any assistance being afforded to me, I started to call around to price my options of getting my car fixed. I found a mechanic in February 2011 in hopes that my car can readily be fixed; to my dismay that was not and is not the case. I was informed that there are several internal parts that are burned inside my transmission and it is necessary for me to replace the entire transmission. AGAIN, HOW CAN THIS BE??? My car is only three-years old with 61 thousand miles. It will cost me over $4000 to replace my transmission with a new one, and about $3000 to purchase a used transmission with low miles. I don’t have that type of money at all.

I received a letter from R&H Toyota of Owings Mills stating they were having a buy back special and thought “Hey, I just may get a new car!” What’s wrong with me??? Toyota does not help out their customers at all. What was I thinking? I was properly informed that R&H Toyota Service department would not take my car with transmission damage nor would they offer me any assistance, and because my credit score is low I will not be able to get a new car. Thanks Toyota! Thanks for nothing. Mind you, I bought my car from R&H Toyota!

Thank you Toyota for nothing… I now know that your cars are not reliable and will discourage any and every one from purchasing any type of Toyota.

My wife drives this car. She like a little old lady. At 20,000 miles, maybe less she brought it in because the care hesitates when she hits the gas.....same old complaints as all yal. Problem fixed, sort of. Now she tells me that the car shifts for no reason at 30 miles per hr on a flat surface. So she took it to the dealer this morning. Thank God the dealer is covering what needs to be done to fix the problem because a new transmission needs to go in. What has happened to Toyota quality?? At least they were willing to fix the problem.

Everytime you push down on the gas pedal to pass someone or speed up the damn thing hesitates. they replaced the trans, then said it neede a computer update etc. Problem never left.

I have an 07 Toyota Camry SE Automatic transmission. I am current with all of my oil changes. Two months ago, I proceeded to drive getting on the freeway and my car jerked and the malfunction indicator lamp comes on seems like transmission was slipping. I took it to a dealership in hurst and they told me that nothing was wrong that it was computer error and to keep driving it. So a week passed by and the car did the same thing again at this point I'm pissed cause I know something is wrong. So I take it to the toyota dealership in denton and they told me it was a bad sensor, so they replaced a sensor. A week later it does it again jerks as I take off. I am frustrated with this problem and tired of them telling me nothing is wrong!!!!!!!!!! I have warranty on this car what is my solution to this problem?

2007 Toyota Camry V6 automatic transmission slips and dealer does not seem to be able to fix. There aree only 468 miles on it and its been at the dealership more than it has been in my garage. Rental a car employee says she just rented a car day before to a customer with identical problem on same model with only 200 miles on it. Dealer says no parts available and Toyota customer experience line rep says they will call back in 2 days to respond to "parts availability", buy I believe the issue is much greater. Anyone else having problems?
